Yellow Tulip’s Summer Essentials

Here’s Yellow Tulip’s summer essentials for 2015 that includes my Karen Walker summer dress (that can also be worn as a top) with my ksubi shorts.  As a lover of accessories my Canon Camera and Chanel Handbag will be strolling the streets with me, along with my Coola Sunblock body, Lip balm and Valentino sunglasses.  When relaxing on the deck in the sun – my British Vogue magazine will be sitting alongside my non-alcoholic cocktail (being a mixture of ginger beer/pineapple juice with a splash of mint) and a nice piece of Christmas cake (yum).  Who doesn’t love summer?

I fell into the art of style quite by accident. There was no defining moment when I decided that I knew what I wanted to do. I want people to feel good about themselves. Many don’t know where to shop and/or how to wear fashion. It has never been solely about cost, but of finding quality at a reasonable price and being able to wear - to suit your own figure, style and fashion. Join me as we explore – What is Style? Relaxing in your fab new wave chairs on your deck! I like your Karen Walker dress!
Living in Brisbane, I don’t love summer so much – it’s usually too hot for me. This summer so far its very hot, humid and also stormy. So my first love is definitely my aircon! After that come my new cool cotton summer dresses (from a local shop here called “Loot”), a G&T or Pimms by the pool, a good book and a nice piece of my homemade Christmas cake! Happy Days! 🌞

    • Loving the sound of your summer’s day – mine is missing the pool of course and a nice piece of homemade Christmas cake sounds delicious. Like the sound of the local store ‘Loot’ – great name. I am yet to wear the Karen Walker dress, so hoping this weekend will be the perfect weather. Am sure you will be wearing all your nice cotton summer dresses. Happy days all round I say. xx

Surprisingly, given the heat and humidity here, most of the dresses in the shops (and there are loads to choose from) are made from polyester or other man made fabrics that don’t “breathe”. That’s why I’m so excited to have found a couple of cool cotton ones!

  2. I love the selfie photo of you.. Your hair looks beautiful and your sunglasses are HOT!

  3. Thanks friend for the lovely comment. Definitely loving the new sunglasses and a different shape and style for me, which is nice for a change. Hope that sun shines this summer – hasn’t been a great start. Merry Christmas xx
