Beanies on Top

I generally don’t suit hats/beanies or anything really that goes on top of my head.  But it hasn’t put me off telling you the best places to shop this winter for that all important accessory; and no matter what size head you have, you will find something.  Trust me – I even found one that suited me.

I was surprised to find so many shops that sell beanies.  I hadn’t really noticed them in previous winters, but this year they are everywhere!!  So, it shouldn’t take you long to track one down, that is, if you want one!

General rule of thumb: if you want one to keep your head warm, it makes sense to go for a nice woolly one (literally).  But, if you just want something that looks good, then really anything goes.

My first stop would be to hop on-line and have a look at Hyper as well as ASOS (I like the American Apparel Neon Cuffed Beanie) as selection and styles are endless.  Not to be out-done, local stores such as Glassons, Amazon, Clash and Loaded also give you a good selection – and in some cases, you can also find a good scarf to match.  Karen Walker this season has also done a popular pom-pom hat and cable knit scarf and Kookai have a limited but good selection of scarves in nice autumn colours.

So really, there will be no excuse not to be warm this winter. Next on the list will be the all-important winter coat.

I fell into the art of style quite by accident. There was no defining moment when I decided that I knew what I wanted to do. I want people to feel good about themselves. Many don’t know where to shop and/or how to wear fashion. It has never been solely about cost, but of finding quality at a reasonable price and being able to wear - to suit your own figure, style and fashion. Join me as we explore – What is Style?
