From Paris with Love
There is so much to do in this beautiful city, from the museums, historic buildings, monuments and of course not forgetting the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and the Louvre that can keep you occupied for hours. Wandering the streets (trying to avoid the incessant cigarette smoke) can be a challenge and that whole ‘cafe’ scene needs to be believed. They can make an espresso last forever!!
The men are very well dressed; more-so I think than the ladies. The selection of men’s suits and shoes in particular is staggering. I feel in this regard that the females are somewhat let down. Everyone is slim.
Scooters and small cars can materialise out of side streets from nowhere. It appears that pedestrians have no ‘rights’ here even if you are crossing the road when you are supposed to!! Luckily they have ‘loud and shrill horns’ that they toot incessantly so you can jump out-of-the-way in time.
I found lots to like about Paris Fashion from vintage, to local designers and of course not forgetting Coco Chanel (my ultimate fashion icon). Quality and craftsmanship is evident in most that you can buy. Described as one of the ‘top fashion cities’ in the world I can see why. Fashion is everywhere from the beautiful design of the city, through to the people, the clothes and architecture. There is beauty to be seen on every street corner.
My best Paris Fashion picks coming shortly including vintage, local designers and more . Enjoy your Bastille Day wherever you may be.
I’m really surprised that the men are better dressed than the women. Thought it would be the other way around. Looking forward to find out what you think of Vintage clothing. Great posting again 🙂
Love Paris too! So sophisticated and cultured. Love hearing all your travel news, Yello Tulip!
