Summer Vibes

This summer in Auckland has been one of the best I can remember, waking up to clear blue skies (with the odd cloud appearing every now and then); with light winds whipping around the shores, keeping the balmy temperatures nice and hot. It has been a real treat each and every day. Even better still, was hoping on the car ferry from Half Moon Bay last week, to travel to Waiheke, for a well-needed holiday and more sun.

For those that know me, to relax and unwind isn’t easy, but I set a new year’s resolution of sorts, and that was to ‘not over-commit, ‘slow down a little’ and ‘be a little more open to change’. The hardest challenge so far has been to resist the urge to turn the laptop on and check work emails, of which I lasted until Day 2!!

It wasn’t until I started to unwind, that I realised how much I needed some time out to rest my mind and body. I’ve spent time hanging out with myself (quite a foreign concept) along with reading (avoiding the news and TV), been running, lots of walks, watching the Australian Open and of course a little retail therapy at The Tailor and & His Lover a great local fashion boutique in Oneroa. I have also spent time gardening!! something I have never done before!!

Wherever you may be, I hope that 2022 has been a good one so far, and that we can all visit our family and friends that live overseas, and connect with those we love. Lets remember to live life how it was meant to be. xx

I fell into the art of style quite by accident. There was no defining moment when I decided that I knew what I wanted to do. I want people to feel good about themselves. Many don’t know where to shop and/or how to wear fashion. It has never been solely about cost, but of finding quality at a reasonable price and being able to wear - to suit your own figure, style and fashion. Join me as we explore – What is Style?
