I love birthdays. The getting older part not so much – but I really like to share with everyone the one day a year that is all about me. So yesterday was my birthday and I’m another year younger!
Yes, we all start counting backwards at some stage, and I appear to have done a great job of this, as many of my friends still have no idea exactly how old I am; and I intend to keep it that way.
So, who doesn’t like cake! The ultimate birthday cake was delivered to me in the form of a Chanel 2.55 Handbag in my favourite colour yellow. It literally looked too real to cut into and I had a hard time slicing my knife through the back of my bag, into bite-size pieces for everyone to share. She tasted delicious and was filled with moist carrot cake and cream cheese icing. It was heaven.
I got some funny birthday cards too, of which this one particularly made me giggle. (My partner most certainly has a sense of humour when it comes to card buying). The mail box these days doesn’t come with too many cards, now it is replaced with texts and Facebook messages. But it doesn’t matter how each message comes – it is the fact that so many people can share in your birthday celebration. p.s. If only the new wee Prince had just waited a little while longer, he could have shared his birthday with me!!
