Dressing for your Body Shape
I went looking for a tape measure over the weekend, as wanted to buy a dress on-line from boohoo.com but had no idea what size. Having a wardrobe full of clothes, I was still none-the-wiser for what actual size I was – is this normal? Given how random all fashion stores these days depict sizes, it is no wonder you can be a range of at least 3 sizes in as many stores.
I had always considered myself a general NZ size 10 when in fact I wasn’t. My body doesn’t easily conform to one size. Was it a case of mistaken identity and really, does it matter? I do have the shortest body known to mankind and rather long legs and arms (yes, doesn’t conjure up a particularly good image), with my top half being – well ‘less is more’ so they say.
But – do I wish I was a different size? For sure! Am I comfortable in my own skin? Well yes, we are very well acquainted. Size is really only a number, and to be honest mine is actually ok. What matters more, is being happy and comfortable in your own skin – you own it for a very long time.
