Missing Pieces Re-unite
Tomorrow morning I am hopping on a plane to Melbourne to meet up with my birth father. This will be only the second time we have met since I tracked him down back in May. I am really looking forward to spending some time with him. He has a dry sense of humour and wit that is quite entertaining and is great at telling stories (most of which I am sure are un-true).
My birth mother is also flying down from Sydney. She is keen to meet up with him too, and last saw him back in the 1960’s when she told him she was pregnant. WOW!! I have an odd feeling about the 3 of us being together (not necessarily a bad thing) – just something that I never thought would happen in my lifetime and I can’t quite get my head around it. The jigsaw puzzle will well and truly be complete. There will be no more missing pieces. The fact I can squeeze in a little bit of shopping is a bonus.
Wish me luck.
Good luck. Sounds so exciting and interesting. The plot for a great novel 🙂
Could be a really good read … you just never know.
Good luck – hope the reunion is great for you all – and enjoy that shopping!!
Thanks for following this journey with me. Remember how we went to the library many years ago, and started the search …
I do indeed remember that search – all those electorol rolls!! Looking forward to hearing how it went…
Hope all goes well for you Helen – how exciting for everyone!!! Maybe your birth Mum and Dad will fall in love all over again – then you will have to write a book! Happy shopping. x
It was most certainly an interesting couple of days. Blog to come.
All the best Helen. Look fwd to hearing how it went.
Arrived back last night – will be sending update this week on the visit. Thanks for reading my blog.
