Lights up my Life
I wasn’t one to ever consider lighting that important in a house. This could be something to do with getting older, and the dimmer the lights – the better I look! However, when you have nice high ceilings – having an interesting light-fitting to complement the ambience of the room, can turn any space into a halo of warmth.
I bought from Sage Interiors in Parnell some EOS feather lighting for my bedrooms and Sylvia’s in white for my Lounge, Entrance and Bathroom. They have added a texture to all my rooms, that I just love. They feel and look so tactile and throw out rays of light that bathe my villa perfectly. Love, Love Love.
I think lighting in a house is very important. I like it really bright in the kitchen and prefer lamps in the lounge for a softer ambience. Funnily enough, the lighting in my bathroom is the most flattering and gives me a great skin tone! Perhaps it’s just that there’s mirrors in there and a lack in other rooms! I like the “Sylvia’s” you have purchased – saw something very similar in a renovation show on TV once and really liked it then too! The feather shades would be lovely and textural in the bedroom. Good choices!
I can’t believe how much I love the new lights and the difference they bring to all the rooms. I’m not sure it may be that easy to change the bulbs – but we will worry about that when we need to. Your bathroom sounds like it has the most perfect lighting. If only all lighting was so flattering. Always exciting renovating and finding great pieces of art/interiors to brighten up a room … xx
