My love of Yellow
NZ Herald, 12th November 2011) showcased the wonders of this bright colour with a collection of ‘yellow’ inspired fashion garments. There was a beautiful yellow dress from Kate Sylvester I just love, plus the Standard Issue Knit Top that would look great in my wardrobe. The VIVA section of the NZ Herald, 2nd November 2011) also featured a leather satchel bag from MADE that immediately I wanted. It was purely because it was the most perfect yellow I had ever seen and a style of bag I don’t own (yet)!! But do I need more yellow in my wardrobe?
So for the first time in a number of years my favourite colour is making a major showing for summer 2012. The latest Canvas Magazine ( Many stores on the streets of Auckland have their own ‘yellow inspired’ collections. In visiting Sussan recently, I thought they had a good range on offer including a great sunshine yellow shirt and lighter tone tops, accessorised with some summer scarves that could easily add that splash of colour you are after. Glassons as always lead the charge with their kaleidoscope of colour. A one-stop shop for your summer look and always at fantastic prices.
So I have decided to share my ‘love and collection of yellow with you’.
Perhaps you may end up loving the colour ‘yellow’ just as much as I do!
Great to read your latest articles. Must pop into Just Jeans – had felt they were a bit off the mark recently so must give them another go. Have you been to the Federation store Laundrette in Barry’s Point Road. Fab shop and excellent service (hard to find sometimes) Bought some great coloured items at Tk Store recently – I think the Brown Street store is definately their better store. Did you know Kilt has opened on Ponsonby Road check them out I had bought from them previously in Napier. By the way I love how you are using the mannequin to display the clothing.
Thanks for your feedback. I haven’t managed to get into the Federation store in Takapuna but had popped in recently to the one in town. Always have great quality tees and my friend just adores their jeans. I’ve been to the Tk store in town but not got to the Brown Street Store. They had some beautiful clothes (one of my previous blogs talked about the amazing colours and quality) but they were really busy so didn’t have time to try anything on. In regards to Kilt (I used to go to the store in Christchurch) and my friend that likes Federation also has some lovely clothes from Kilt. Great to know that they now have a store in Auckland. My french dress-makers mannequin I just love .. really handy for displaying all my clothes. Happy shopping. Yellow Tulip.
